VK HFFR 99 is a halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) based on phosphorus and nitrogen chemistry, designed for use in homopolymer polypropylene (Ho-PP) and copolymer polypropylene with glass fiber (Co-PPG). It provides highly effective flame retardancy through an intumescent mechanism, forming a protective char layer that prevents flame propagation while maintaining the mechanical integrity of the polymer.
Key Features:
Halogen-Free & Environmentally Friendly – Low smoke, low toxicity, and sustainable formulation
Phosphorus-Nitrogen Synergy – Forms a stable char layer, improving fire resistance
Compatible with Ho-PP & Co-PPG – Suitable for reinforced and non-reinforced polypropylene applications
Thermally Stable – Designed for standard processing conditions of polypropylene
Meets Stringent Flame Retardancy Standards:
UL94 V-2 – Self-extinguishing with minimal dripping
GWIT 750°C (IEC 60695-2-13) – Excellent ignition resistance
GWF1 850°C (IEC 60695-2-12) – Ensures resistance to flame spread and fire hazards
